Casey Abrams is now a bona fide recording artist

Season 10 finalist Casey Abrams just signed his first recording contract with Concord Music and will be releasing his debut album summer of 2012.

Casey, a native of Austin, Texas, finished sixth in the finals of the 10th season of American Idol.

Casey spent his early years in the Chicago area where influences of blues artists are all around, Casey got his inkling with the blues sound. Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra and James Taylor are some of her music icons that influenced Casey's music style. Casey can play a lot of musical instruments. He knows how to play the double bass, guitar, piano, clarinet, drums and accordion to name a few.

Casey's talent impresses the big bosses of Concord Music Group and did not hesitate in signing him as their contract artist.

With Scotty McCreery's recent platinum album, we're hoping that this will also be Casey's lucky year and hoping another platinum artist will be born.
